The 3 Scottish RDA Regions had a very successful 4 days at the Blair Horse Trials. The weather was beautiful allowing all the volunteers to shake cans and rattle buckets in glorious sunshine. There were RDA demonstrations on all 4 days. On Thursday and Friday lunchtimes driving groups from all the 3 Regions demonstrated their cone driving skills around the Main Dressage Arena to the delight of the crowds. On Saturday Paralympian Jo Pitt gave 2 performances of her dressage to music and the Clydesdale Group children did a musical ride. On Sunday Jo rode again and 2 riders from the Highland Group did a Pas de Deaux to music and in the afternoon riders from the Hestavniir Group played football with their Icelandic ponies.
The final total of money raised is between £6,000 and £7,000 (money still coming in) and all money will go directly to support RDA Groups in Scotland.
